What is Anemometer and its Uses ? Anemometer is the device which can measure the speed of wind flow in the atmosphere . The term or word anemos means wind , which is derived from greek language . This device is used in Meteorology Department . Actually, In 1450 , the Italian art Architect named Leon Battista Alberti invented the first Anemometer. But In 1664 , this device was re-invented by Robert Hooke { mistakenly considered as first inventor of Anemometer}.
