Why Oxygen
is more important to living Beings?
Oxygen is a gas that is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. Oxygen is most
important for living beings. We inhale 21% of oxygen and exhale 16%.
Oxygen is necessary because it is one of the best oxidizers. It is necessary
for cell growth and energy. Oxygen
is required t our body to create energy from glucose. This reaction takes place
in the cells of our body when energy is required.
Our body uses oxygen in cellular respiration. Cellular Respiration is the way our bodies
change carbohydrates and sugars to energy { ATP}. It is required for the cells
in our body to breakdown complex food molecules into simpler substances. During
this process, energy is released which is utilized for all the cellular and
other functions of the body. Oxygen breakdown waste products and toxins. It
allows for chemical transport.
