What is Acid rain ?| It’s Effects |Conclusion
The pH value
of normal rain is 5.6 . If the pH value of rain is less than 5.6 . Then the
rain we called it as Acid rain . Acid rain is a type of rain which is harmful
to the living organisms and also to the human kind . Acid rains caused by
emissions of dangerous gases Sulphur
dioixide ,nitrogen oxide and other carbons which reacts with water molecules to
produce acids like carbonic acid ,nitric acid sulphuric acid.
Both natural
and man – made reasons in occurrence of Acid rain . Both volcanoes and decaying
vegetation are the natural reasons for acid rain. However, the majority of
gases coming from man-made resources such as fossil fuel combustion.
Effects of Acid rain :-
1.
Acid
rain leads to respiratory and breathing problems .
2.
It
will decay the buildings and paints of buildings .
3.
It
will destroy the crops.
4.
It
will disturb and decrease the Aquatic life .
5.
It
leads to soil pollution.
6.
It
will disturb the forest and wildlife .
Conclusion :-
So,
we should reduce the automobiles which run with petrol . We should use cleaner
forms of energy such as solar power , re-recycling natural resources , etc . We should not damage any natural resources . We should
plant more trees .
