How to calculate our weight on the moon ?
We know that , Earth has more mass than the moon. Therefore,
the sun puts more energy on it. As far as we know, gravitational force has the
power to pull anything down. The acceleration due to gravity on the surface of
the Earth is 9.8 m / s2 and also we know that about 1/6 of the Earth's gravity
is on the Moon. It fits to find our weight on the moon . So let me Explain with
an example .
For example, if a person weighs 60 kgs on earth . That person
weighs 1/6 of his/her original weight on
the moon . It means 1/6 * 60 = 10. Therefore , he/she will weighs 10 kgs on the
moon . This is the method to find weight on the moon .
Facts about moon :-
1. If the
Earth had no moon we would have only 6 hours a day.
2. Each
year the distance between the Earth and the Moon increases by 3.8 cm.
